Admissions consultation for Reception entry in September 2026.
The Governing Body at Horncastle Primary School is consulting on the admission arrangements for the academy for September 2026. The School Admissions Code requires all admission authorities to consult on school admission arrangements every seven years, even if no changes are proposed.
There is a small change proposed to the admission arrangements for Horncastle Primary School for September 2026:
** Confirmation of the update of the Admissions Authority from Lincolnshire County Council to Wellspring Academy Trust.

The consultation opens on Friday 20 December 2024 and closes on Friday 31 January 2025.

Primary School Places
Using the online process above, applications for a place in next year’s Reception follow the National Timetable: The window for the Co-Ordinated Primary Scheme opens every year in mid November and closes in Mid January with offers being made in Mid April.

Tours in Term 1 are ALL after the school day to allow the current intake a chance to settle.
We are only running tours DURING the school day AFTER the half-term holiday in Term 2.

Nursery Places
Applications for places in our nursery are managed by the school.
| Nursery applications can be made at any time and will be held on our waiting list to be considered for the planned admission dates at the start of the term after the child’s 3rd birthday. | ||
| We have 3 planned admission dates: September, January and April for which applications on our waiting list are considered for the places available. If there are more applicants than places they will be allocated according to the criteria in our Nursery Admission Policy. | ||
